Week 12 My Crazy Chicken

Well this week we had chocolate pots De' creme and my crazy noodles. We all enjoyed the noodles it had a kick but a great taste. Also the pots were extremely chocolate and very good. we had Chris and Dan both over (they're both cousins). The pots had a delicious creme texture and a rich sweet and some what bitter taste that complemented the noodle beautifully. Can't wait till next week!

This was my favorite meal for a while. The noodles were really good. They had a little spice in them and the ground chicken was excellent.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground chicken, 1/2 cup onions, 1/2 cup scallions, 1/2 cup of basil, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of lime juice, 8 oz of rice noodles, 1 tablespoon sambal. It was easy and I will definitely keep this recipe.
The dessert was excellent. It was chocolate custard like. This was a little harder to make, but really good.
We had some help today. Dan came and helped cut up some things as well as washed the dishes. Also you can see by the pictures, Chris Vitale joined us today. It was great to have you Chris and Dan.

week 11: Gyros/Ming Tsi

This week we had lamb gyros with an Asian cucumber sauce YUM! Also we made a salad with an Asian pesto dressing. We all liked the gyro... I think ,but the salad was a little spicy (sources tell.. my mom). Although Jamie (my sister) has become a spicy food lover! great! Can't wait till next week Chris (my cousin) is coming, it'll be fun!
I was not so keen on Lamb. For some reason it did not taste good. I think you have to aquire a taste for it.
I kind of liked the salad. It had a noodle in it. I made rice noodles and Carl made the wheat noodles. It was a little spicy, but good.
We did not have any dessert this day. We had a lot of left overs.

Week 10 Simply Ming Chicken and Zuccini

The chicken thighs were really good super juicy. The Breast weren't as good I thought but I'm a dark meat lover! The zucchini was good and i love d the sauce! The perfect balance of tart and sweet to sooth the wondering pallet. Can't wait till next week!

It was so fun to go to the Chinese Food Mart in preparation for this meal. I look forward to going again. There was so many interesting things that they sell there.

My favorite was the sauce. It was a Hoison Sauce that we marinated the chicken in. It was really good. It was especially good on the rice as a side dish. The only ingredients in the sauce were ginger 1 tablespoon, 1/2 of a cut up onion, 2 tablespoons of garlic, salt and pepper, 2 cups of Hoison sauce, and some hot sauce.

We had both chicken breasts and chicken thighs. Carl really likes the thighs so we HAD to get both. Carl and I ended up liking the thighs and Linda and Jamie liked the Chicken Breast.

We turn up the heat next week. I can't wait. I think we are doing lamb gyros. Are we sure this is Asian?
